MRC
Target Timer is a compact modular timer that is used
as a total run timer to determine the life of the sputter target.
This unit interface to the computer control of the sputtering
machine. Each time a target is selected by the computer, one
of the corresponding timers is enable. The timer starts timing
when the power is turned on and continues as long as the system
is sputtering. The timing is accumulative and is used to determine
target life. At the time of a target change, the timer is manually
reset by the operator. Because the timers are powered internally
by lithium batteries with a life span of 10 years and require
no other power source, the timed information is not volatile
to power failures.
